Dog Walks & Adventures

Happy pups, happy homes

Not just tired pups, fulfilled pups. And homes that feel better because of it.

Some days call for beach trails and new terrain. Others just need a good walk around the neighborhood. We do both, so pups get what they need without you having to think about it.

Find the Right Adventure or Walk for your pup

Full & Half Day

Dog ADVENTURES

For pups who need more than a quick outing. Full and half day adventures include a mix of pack walks, trail time, beach visits, and cruising in our classic VWs. It’s the kind of day that leaves pups fulfilled, especially when you’ve got a full day ahead.

Good for: high-energy pups, social pups, enrichment days, days you’re out of the house.

Neighborhood Outing

Pack Walks

Small pack walks with familiar groups give pups structured time to move, sniff, and socialize. Walks range from 1 to 1.5 hours with VW pickup and drop-off included.

Good for: routine, socialization, enrichment, energy regulation.

Trail outing

Pack Hikes

A longer trail outing for pups who thrive on movement and nature. We pick up in one of our classic Volkswagens and head to coastal trails best suited for the day’s weather and group. We carry water, take shade breaks, and keep the pace safe and enjoyable. Pack hikes can last up to 3 hours.

Good for: active pups, social pups, confidence building, enrichment.

Neighborhood or Trail outing

Individual Walks

For pups who do better on their own or need a quieter pace. Individual walks range from 20 minutes to an hour with VW pickup and drop-off included.

Good for: anxious pups, solo walkers, senior dogs, training reinforcement.

Neighborhood or Trail outing

Runs

For the high-energy pups who need a little more. Runs last 30 minutes to an hour depending on heat and ability. Courtney has been running for over 20 years and loves having running buddy.

Good for: working breeds, high-drive dogs, athletic pups

A Day with Pups Will Play

From the VW pickup to that glorious post-adventure nap, here’s how our adventures usually go.

Pick-ups in the VW

We swing by in one of our classic Volkswagens, load up the pups, and head toward our destination.

The Drive

Windows cracked, noses out, tails thumping. Somehow the ride always sets the tone.

The Adventure

We hit beaches, coastal trails, or open spaces; moving, sniffing, exploring, climbing, and getting those minds and bodies working.

Water & Shade Breaks

Hydration, rest time, and trail pacing keep things safe and comfortable.

Good Company

We adventure with small, consistent groups so pups can build confidence and familiarity over time.

The Drop-Off

We return with a pup who’s tired in the right way — settled, satisfied, and ready for a nap. Most pups snooze. We’re told the house tends to feel calmer too.

Behind the wheel

How pups will play
came to be

Pups Will Play started with Courtney, a lifelong runner and dog person who spent years adventuring with her own pup, Gracie. When Gracie passed, that energy rerouted into the dogs she cared for next, and the work naturally grew from there.

Courtney doesn’t just take pups out, she pays attention to them. Their quirks, their confidence, their anxieties, their favorite smells, and the way they finally settle once they’re tired in the right way.

From Our Clients

  • “My pups absolutely light up when they hear the bus coming down the street — they can hardly contain themselves. The walks and hikes give them real exercise and the socialization has been huge. Courtney pays attention to their behavior and training in a way that most walkers don’t. My dogs honestly wouldn’t want to be without her.”

    — Liz

  • The VW was such a fun and iconic addition to our wedding photos and Courtney made having our dog involved completely stress-free. She handled our dog with so much care, patience & EVEN MADE sure he was camera-ready the entire time. We got amazing photos! If you’re considering including your dog in your wedding, Courtney is an absolute must

  • Since joining Pups Will Play, my dogs have become calmer, more relaxed, and obedient, plus they’re in great shape! They now have the energy and stamina to do so much more, and I love being able to take them everywhere with me on the weekends I work a corporate job that keeps me in the office five days a week and traveling often. My two adult dogs are my everything, so it’s such a relief knowing that every day they’re out on walks and adventures with Courtney and their furry friends. They’re getting exercise, socialization, and so much love, all while being cared for as if they were part of Courtney’s own family I really enjoy getting the daily photos and updates that Courtney provides after each walk. I have complete trust in Pups Will Play, I know they're getting the best care possible, you can see it in the smiles on their faces!

  • I love to travel, so it is very important for me to have someone I trust watch my dog for me while I am away. I know he gets plenty of love and attention, is well cared for, and gets to have his own little vacation with all his pack pals. He is never stressed when I leave because he knows he will have a wonderful time while I’m gone. I love getting the pictures & updates, it’s easy to see how happy he is on his adventures. Chester also gets weekly pack walks and I love seeing how joyfully he runs out to greet the rest of the pack. I’m very grateful for Courtney and Pups will Play!

    — Cheryl

  • Our dog immediately perks up and can hardly contain his excitement when he hears the Pups Will Play bus approaching, he clearly associates the bus & Courtney with fun & adventure! He gets so much great exercise and socialization with all his pack pals, and we love seeing how happy he looks in all the photos. It gives us such peace of mind knowing he’s having the time of his life and always comes home happy and well-exercised.

    — Debi

  • I love everything about Pups Will Play! The iconic bus, the gorgeous photos I receive of my dog having fun and most of all, Courtney. My dog leaps out the door to greet Courtney and crew on the street. She bounds into her iconic teal bus and off she goes for her daily adventure. I know with Courtney she is not only getting her daily exercise, but socialization as well. She loves being with the other pups and the time spent in the "pack" is good for her overall happiness and mental health. The best part about Pups Will Play is Courtney. Not only does our pup love her, but she is a deeply respected and loved member of our family. I trust her completely and know that she is treating my pup and my home just as she would her own.

Safety & Care

Our job is to make adventures enriching and safe, so you never have to worry.

Small Groups, Real Supervision
We keep our packs intentionally small so pups stay visible, supported, and set up for success.

Vet-Approved Enrichment
Movement, nature, sniffing, and socialization are encouraged.

Hydration & Heat Awareness
Water breaks, shade breaks, and pacing are baked into every outing. Weather calls the shots, not the calendar.

Gear Check + Trail Fit
We pick routes based on terrain, temperature, group dynamics, and each dog’s needs that day.

Transparent Communication
If something feels off (physically, emotionally, or behaviorally) you’ll hear about it. If your pup did great, made a friend, or had a personal victory, you’ll get that too.

The Bus
All pickups and drop-offs happen in classic Volkswagens equipped for fun.
